Mount the unit where it will not be triggered by pets, such as large dogs. Put some thought as to where to mount it,as it should be as inconspicuous as possible. It must be firmly mounted onto a solid base such as a pole or a wall (four screws supplies) to work relaibly.

Tie the free end of the trip line to a frim attachment point unit across the passageway, ensuring that it would not have excessive slck play when the Bang-A-Lert is set. Pull up the firing pin by the finger ring and insert the safety clip to engage the safety groove on the firing pin.

Insert a cap into its channel in the base, pointing downwards. Note that the channel is off-centre in relation to the firing pin,as the cap has a rimfire primer. Insert the rim of the trip washer (supplied tied to the other end of the trip line) into the trip groove below the finger ring. Remove the safety to arm the Bang-A-Lert. AS SIMPLE AS THAT

A word of Caution

The Bang-A-Lert must never be fired near the eyes or ears. It can also have an unpredictable effect on animals. It must be on safe mode or preferebly disarmed when not in use, and keep inflammable material away from it.
